First released in 1991 and named after Hancock Taylor, a surveyor in the Leestown area who was killed by Native Americans. Hancock's President's Reserve is one of four single barrel bourbons from the Buffalo Trace stable, the others being Blanton's, Rock Hill Farms and Elmer T. Lee. The bottle does not carry a barrel number or age statement but Hancock's Reserve is believed to be around 8 years old.
Nose: light and sweet, with traces of mango and papaya.
Palate: Honey, clover, a slight fruitiness, and a dash of spices.
Finish: Long and warm.
